ISHM Announces Board of Directors Meeting to be Held at the NSC Expo

Each year, the Institute for Safety and Health Management’s (ISHM) Board of Directors hold four annual meetings. Three are teleconferences and one is in-person and held in conjunction with the National Safety Council (NSC) Congress & Expo.
 
ISHM is pleased to announce that this year the meeting will be held on Saturday, October 20 at the Holiday Inn Castle in Orlando, Florida.  The meeting will begin at 12:30 PM local time and any Associate Safety and Health Manager (ASHM) or Certified Safety and Health Manager (CSHM) is invited to attend.
 
Attendees may observe or request that an item be placed on the agenda for discussion.  Those attending may also be asked to provide feedback on important matters before the board.  “Although the board meeting is over three months away, the ISHM wanted to get the word out as early as possible,” stated Larry Curtis, CSHM, Executive Director of ISHM.  “Many of the ISHM’s certificant holders attend this annual conference and exposition, making it a perfect venue for the board of directors meeting.  While it may seem to be early, the venues available are filling rapidly and we need to lock our space in soon. We want to make sure we have enough room for anyone who would like to attend. Please let me know at manager@ishm.org  no later than July 9, 2012 if you will be attending. We hope to see you there.”
 
The ISHM Board of Directors meeting, being held during the 2012 NSC Congress & Expo,  allows CSHMs and ASHMs the opportunity to attend both the important annual meeting and the NSC Congress & Expo.  Last year, over 12,000 safety, health and environmental professionals attended the NSC event. The NSC expo hall will also host over 800 exhibiting companies for three days.
