NYC’s House Call Cat Groomers: Part Cat Stylist, Part Mommy Therapist

New York, NY (June 27, 2012)  — We all know about mommy and daddy sanity-savers like babysitters, cleaning services and grocery delivery.  But house call cat groomers? Really? With parenthood comes the realization that doing it all is not possible. Some tasks are going to fall by the wayside… or into the litter box. 

House call cat groomers come under the heading of “services you didn’t know you needed, but do need, rather desperately in fact.”  They bathe, brush and detangle NYC’s clumped and complaining felines, while -- just as importantly -- assuaging the guilt of sleep-deprived, newly-minted-parents.

I ask about the cat. They usually say, ‘It’s gotten out of control.’ That tells me all I need to know. While I’m in their home, I joke around, have some fun, and let them know they’re not bad pet-parents.  Everyone gets overwhelmed sometimes.”
