Holidays are top of the Agenda for Finance Professionals

A new survey by financial recruitment specialists, Sellick Partnership, shows that holiday allocation is the most important benefit to finance professionals in the North West.

The results showed that 46% of respondents indicated that holidays were the most important benefit, followed by pensions at 23%, and bonuses at 12% - with healthcare being the least important at only 1%.  When comparing the responses by gender, holidays were significantly more important to females at 55% than to males at 39% - with bonus and pensions being more important to males.

Aaron Drewitt, Manager at Sellick Partnership commented on the results, “The results of the survey demonstrate how the priorities of finance professionals have changed as salaries have remained static over recent years. However, as confidence in the market increases there is significant pressure on employers to review and improve their benefits packages to ensure that they attract and retain staff.

“Across the board there is evidence that finance professionals feel that they are worth more than they are currently been given, placing even more emphasis on the need for organisations to review their full remuneration packages. It is no longer just the salary that is important to finance professionals, employers need to be looking at their training and development, career progression and benefits packages that they offer.”

The information in the survey has been gathered from over 500 respondents, as well as data from our extensive database of candidates.
