NEW YORK, NEW YORK – (May 10, 2012) CoreBrand, a leading brand strategy and communications firm, recently worked with the Internet Society to develop the visual brand identity for the new Internet Hall of Fame, launched in conjunction with the Internet Society’s 20th anniversary.

“It was a great privilege to work with the Internet Hall of Fame as it prepares to recognize individuals who have fueled the development of the Internet and used it to transform the lives of people throughout the world,” said Andrew Bogucki, executive creative director of CoreBrand. “Our team’s primary goal for the Internet Hall of Fame logo was to visually bring to life the vision of the Internet Society with a mark that captures the energy and boundless quality of the Internet with the prestige and significance of the honor itself.”

The Internet Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who were instrumental in the early development of the Internet, made significant contributions to the global growth of the Internet or made outstanding technological, commercial or policy advances to expand the Internet. On April 23, 2012, the Internet Society hosted its inaugural award ceremony to celebrate more than 30 pioneers, innovators, and global connectors of the Internet, including Vint Cerf, Tim Berners-Lee, Mitchell Baker, Brewster Kahle and Al Gore.
“The Internet Hall of Fame’s logo was a fundamental element we needed to reflect the spirit and prestige associated with this honor,” said Scott Hoyt, vice president of strategic communications at the Internet Society. “CoreBrand did an excellent job capturing the excitement and energy of the global Internet community and the people involved.”
The Internet Hall of Fame logo is now displayed on the Hall of Fame’s website, honoree gifts, signage and other branded collateral.
