Industrial and Commercial Property Demand May Rise in the UK this Year

Demand for industrial and commercial property could be on the up this year according to the results of a new report. Figures from a report by independent commercial property advisor GVA, published on Wales Online, showed that 2012 could see an upturn in the market.

According to the findings of the study, while 2011 saw weakened demand for commercial property, new site purchases and strategic planning strategies could help boost interest in the sector over this year.
Industrial agency director at GVA in Cardiff Paul Hobbs told Wales Online: “Availability of good stock is falling fast. Whilst there is not a drought of space, a moderate upturn could lead to a fast recovery in rents and values for existing prime stock.”

The source also pointed out that there soon could be a shortage of top quality commercial property and accommodation available to buyers in Wales, which could interest those who already own spaces in the region and are considering increasing their rents.
