Self Help Wizard Opens Yellow Brick Road To Success

Self styled “Wizard Of Wisdom” Trevor Emdon has launched a new “Success Club” from his website www.wizardofwisdom.com in the hope of raising the hopes and spirits of the burgeoning population of frustrated, worried and fearful folk.

Plumping for the optimist’s side of Einstein’s question, namely that the universe is friendly, the material he has put together draws on his own personal journey from loss and hardship, (he lost his mother to cancer aged nine),  as well as his professional credentials as a psychotherapist, writer and practitioner of NLP, (neuro linguistic programming for the uninitiated), to a fulfilling and happy life.

Speaking about the principle on which he has based his extensive work he commented, “We can override our instincts and therein lies our power.”  Whereas a cat is “hard wired” to react to a mouse in a specific way, we can choose our thoughts and reactions to anything, which, according to the Emdon school of thought, is an ability woefully overlooked.

Bump In The Road To Success

One difficulty developers of self development programs are aware of is that people abandon them - rather like gym memberships - in favour of old negative, sometimes self destructive habits.  Curious though this may seem, we apparently prefer the familiar, no matter how uncomfortable, to the new.

Emdon has this covered however.  He created the “Wizard of Wisdom Success Club” in the full knowledge that only those who truly want to discover how to be successful in life will join.  

It might be argued by self help dissenters that those most in need are the ones who, by definition, would not commit to it, but the Wizard, reminding us deftly that we can look at things differently, has another point of view:

“It is not possible to help a person out of a hole unless first they recognise that they are in one and that they accept the rope ladder you throw to them.”

It would seem, then, that the universe is friendly as long as you are willing to ask for help.  That is quietly reassuring, isn’t it?
