Gibraltar Private Bank & Trust’s Cristina Blanco to Receive Chairman’s Award from the 11th Judicial Circuit Historical Society

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – March 7, 2012 --- Gibraltar Private Bank & Trust’s Cristina Blanco, senior vice president, marketing director, has been named the recipient of the 11th Judicial Circuit Historical Society’s Chairman’s Award, a prestigious designation presented annually to South Florida lawyers, judges and professionals who have made significant contributions to the South Florida legal system and community.

The award is a tribute to Blanco’s role in creating the 11th Judicial Circuit Historical Society, a membership group affiliated with HistoryMiami that is made up of established attorneys and judges throughout Miami-Dade.  She was integral in building the group’s structure, membership base, seasonal programming and annual historical publication.  She also helped create the group’s annual Legal Legends awards and events, as well as its oral histories. 

“Every year, we honor an individual who has distinguished themselves by their tireless efforts in historic preservation and in promoting the Society and there is no person more deserving of this award than Cristina,” said Elizabeth M. Hernandez, 11th Judicial Circuit Historical Society Chair.  “She is a behind the scenes hard-working individual who always put the Society’s interests above her own and through her tireless efforts we celebrated a centennial year that was without equal in all the judicial circuits.”

Blanco will receive the award at the 11th Judicial Circuit Historical Society’s sixth annual reception, which is being held on Tuesday, April 3 at HistoryMiami.
