Money Transfers Dubai-2012, 5th Money Transfers Dubai-2012
To examine the areas that are having the biggest impact on the remittances and international payments market IAMTN will hold it’s 5th MTD meeting in Dubai on 27th March 2012.
Bringing together an unparalleled group of experts this meeting will not only provide tremendous networking and information opportunities, but will also challenge all attendees to re-examine their business strategies and ensure that they are positioned to seize the opportunities and tackle the challenges. 2012 promises to be a year of great change in the world of remittances.
The transfer routes between the UAE and India and Singapore and the Philippines are considered the top two remittance paths in the world. The inflow of remittances during July-January 2012 from Saudi Arabia, UAE, USA, UK, GCC countries (including Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and Oman) and EU countries amounted to $2,008m, $1,644m, $1,328m, $853m, $845m, and $215n respectively as compared with the inflow of $1,353m, $1,437m, $1,145m, $669m, $721m and $195m respectively in July-January 2011.
Since the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) introduced Pakistan Remittances Initiatives (PRI) in the country has helped increase remittances from $6.5 billion in 2008 to $12 billion annually. As the economy in Europe continues to struggle and the US begins to make a slow recovery attention is more focused on regions with growth. This is certainly the case in the Middle East.As a key player in this industry this is the one meeting you do not wish to miss. Please register a soon as possible in order to guarantee your space, as you understand IAMTN has limited space and with priority to it’s members.
Between the key movers in the area you will have the opportunity to debate with Eastnets, Qtel, Al Fardan, UPU, PRI, SWIFT, Transfer-To and many more. SWIFT will be closing the meeting with a cocktail reception.
