The Bellevue Collection Celebrates Lunar New Year January 28, 2012

Bellevue Square at The Bellevue Collection and the Seattle Chapter of the Taiwan Benevolent Association of America welcomes in the 2012 Lunar New Year!

BELLEVUE, Wash. (January 20, 2012) – The Bellevue Collection and the Seattle Chapter of the Taiwan Benevolent Association of America welcomes in the 2012 Lunar New Year! An exciting all day event (11:00 am – 6:00 pm) will be held on January 28, 2012 at Bellevue Square in Center Court. The celebration will feature numerous traditional and contemporary cultural demonstrations including martial arts, traditional orchestra music, a dragon dance, Chinese opera, brush painting and calligraphy. The festival is open to audiences of all ages.

The highlight will be the “New Year Spectacles” from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm. The “Spectacles” will showcase the traditional lion dance and dragon parade; a symbol of strength and good luck to the community.
