Acupuncture Study Tours to China Now Offered Twice a Year – Approved by the NCCAOM

The Integrative Healing Society www.ihsociety.com is now offering its two-week study program in Hangzhou, China twice a year.  The events will be held during the spring and fall and offer Chinese medicine professionals a chance to do advanced clinical training.  The next event will be held this year from April 9th – April 20th, with following tours being held in October of 2012 and April of 2013.

Participants in the tour may choose to study acupuncture or herbal medicine and several specialty departments are available to study in.  In the acupuncture departments one may study in diverse fields such as neurology, stroke rehab, gynecology, the treatment of headaches and musculo-skeletal conditions.  In herbal medicine specialty studies are available in gastro-enterology, gynecology, respiratory therapy, and pediatrics. 

During the program participants will study at numerous hospitals associated with Zhejiang Chinese Medical University, and the training will occur with doctors who have decades of clinical experience and are experts in their fields.  Over the course of the two weeks, participants will receive 50 hours of clinical training and witness hundreds of patients being treated.  Therapists licensed through the NCCAOM are also eligible to receive 30 hours of continuing education credits.
