Local Environmental Education/Outreach Group Celebrates 2011 Successes and Announces 2012 Board of Directors and Officers

The Arizona Chapter of the Environmental Information Association (EIA-AZ) announced the 2012 Board of Director election results and declared newly installed officers on December 14, 2011.

Local Environmental Education/Outreach Group Celebrates 2011 Successes and Announces 2012 Board of Directors and Officers


In celebration of the 23 years of protecting the health and safety of our community, members and friends of the Arizona Chapter of the Environmental Information Association (EIA-AZ) gathered for fellowship and a brief business meeting on the evening of December 14, 2011. EIA-AZ announced the 2012 Board of Director election results and declared newly installed officers at annual Steak Fry celebration held on December 14, 2011 at The Asbestos Institute’s newly opened location.  


Announced Board members and officers will serve for the 2012 calendar year. EIA-AZ 2011 President Tim Miller of Speedie and Associates graciously handed his title to Joe Palermo of IHI Environmental. Other officers included President Elect Michael Breu of Fiberquant Analytical, Vice President Chris Gates of The Asbestos Institute, Treasurer Paul Anger of FM Group and Secretary Virginia Rush of Southwest Hazard Control. 
Election outcomes resulted in two newly selected individuals including Director, Randy Ballard of Clark Seif Clark, Inc. (CSC) and Alternate Director, Valerie Brodeur of IHI Environmental.  The balance of the 2012 Board of Directors include returning Directors: Charles Elmer of the City of Phoenix, Scott McDonald of Maricopa County Environmental Quality, Derrick Denis of Clark Seif Clark, Inc. (CSC), Ruthann Gates of Terracon, Vessa Olshove of East Valley Disaster Services, Adel Assaf of Guardian Consulting, Greg Dozer of Four Corners Environmental and Brian Jones of Arizona Department of Environmental Quality.
