Reward yourself over Christmas with bonus Avios from Lloyds TSB Duo Avios Credit Cards

Lloyds TSB is re-launching its reward credit cards, the Premier Duo Avios and the Duo Avios Credit Card Accounts. As part of the re-launch, Lloyds TSB is offering customers the opportunity to collect up to 10,000 bonus Avios to celebrate.

Turning everyday spending into travel rewards
The Lloyds TSB Duo Avios Credit Card Account allows customers to collect Avios on almost  every purchase they make, which can then turn into holidays, flights, city breaks or hotels. A unique feature of the Duo Avios Credit Card Account is that customers are supplied with both an American Express® and a MasterCard®, meaning Duo is accepted at 31 million places worldwide.

The Premier Duo Avios credit cards enables customers to collect 1.25 Avios per £1 spent on their American Express® card and 1.25 Avios per £5 spent on the MasterCard® . For the Duo Avios credit card account customers see 1 Avios rewarded for every £1 spent on American Express® or £5 spent on the MasterCard®.

In addition, Lloyds TSB is offering new customers the opportunity to earn bonus Avios in their first three months after taking out the credit card, which is available online, in branch and via the telephone. Those opting for the Premier Duo Avios credit card will receive 10,000 additional Avios when they spend £500 per month on either their American Express® or MasterCard® each month for first three months. They will also receive a 50% refund on the annual fee of £50. Customers opting for the Duo Avios can earn 2,000 bonus Avios for spending the same amount.

Christmas time is perfect for collecting rewards
The month of December usually sees retail spending increase by around a third, with the average adult spending an additional £150 in December alone . Savvy shoppers can take this opportunity to reward themselves by ensuring that this additional spend earns them Avios.

Avios, is the UK travel reward programme, which offers collection opportunities on everyday spending. Additionally, Avios rewards members when they fly with British Airways and Iberia, allowing them to collect Avios for every mile travelled. Consumers also have great freedom as they can spend Avios on anything from tailored trips – including one-way flights and the option to fly in and out of different airports – to weekend breaks and days out.
