New Book by UTICo’s Board Chairman Dr. W. Scott Thompson

Washington D.C., Boston, Massachusetts - November 28, 2011 – Universal Trading & Investment Co., Inc. (“UTICo”, a Massachusetts corporation), through its Board of Directors, proudly presents, the new book published by the Chairman of its Board, W. Scott Thompson, D.Phil.

The book, entitled “Trustee of the Nation: The Biography of Fidel V. Ramos” which was authored by W. Scott Thompson is the only official biography endorsed by the former president of the Philippines, who made a very substantial contribution into the development and modernization of that country.

In October through November, Fidel V. Ramos made a 17-day trip to the U.S., which included several ceremonies of that book presentation. That included several fora , the Embassy of the Philippines in Washington D.C., its consulates.
Dr. W. Scott Thompson’s background includes a B.A. from Stanford University and D.Phil. from Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholar, as well as a Woodrow Wilson and Danforth Foundation Fellow. He has also been a White House Fellow.

Dr. Thompson held three presidential appointments with consent of the Senate, under Presidents Reagan, Bush (Sr.) and Clinton: Associate Director of USIA and twice appointed to the Board of the U.S. Institute of Peace, established by Congress. Among other academic affiliations, he have served as an associate of Harvard’s Center for International Affairs, Center for Strategic and International Studies, and for 37 years, 25 of these tenured, he was on the faculty of the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University.

The present book represents the 12th book published by W. Scott Thompson. The Board of UTICo congratulates its Chairman with one more achievement in his outstanding career.

Since the mid-1990s, Dr. W. Scott Thompson has been the Chairman of the 10-member Board of UTICo, with offices in Massachusetts. UTICo has specialized in consulting projects worldwide, collection services, having among its clients banks, foreign agencies, corporations, private individuals. UTICo was founded in 1993.
