Islandsbanki to release Geothermal Energy report at Expo

Islandsbanki is to release its fifth annual United States Geothermal Energy Market Report at the Geothermal Energy Expo and the GRC Annual Meeting, set to take place October 23-26, 2011 in San Diego, California. The report highlights the developments, operations and challenges facing the geothermal industry in the United States, as well as present estimates on capacity additions and financing needs for the next five years.

The geothermal energy report covers the recent challenges, significant milestones, capacity additions, and financing within the U.S. geothermal industry, plus its predictions and estimations for the next five years.

During the energy expo, Islandsbanki will be located at booth no. 310-312, where stakeholders can receive a copy of the United States Geothermal Energy Market Report.

Furthermore, the Icelandic bank maintains a Geothermal Industry Dashboard online, with the aim to keep a current global overview of the geothermal industry, with specific data on the sectors in Iceland and the United States. This resource can be found here.

The Geothermal Energy Expo is the world’s largest gathering of vendors providing support for geothermal resource exploration, characterisation, development, production and management.

It is estimated that the attendees for the 2011 GRC Annual Meeting will likely beat those of 2009 and 2010, with more technical sessions and presentations taking place than before.
