Tesla Motors Launches Localized Website in Italy

WEBWIRE

MILAN – Tesla Motors (NASDAQ: TSLA), the world’s leading electric vehicle company, published its new Italian-targeted website, teslamotors.com/it, today to appeal to an even wider global audience. The new URL will provide comprehensive information and content on Tesla’s technology and products in Italian.

“As a market that appreciates fine automobiles and innovative design, Italy is a natural choice for Tesla’s website localization, and more localized sites will be rolling out before the end of the year" says Tesla Vice President of Communications Ricardo Reyes. “Tesla Roadster owners in over 30 countries already understand the joy of driving electric; localization helps us spread that message in even farther.”

Tesla’s website offers the Design Studio, a tool that allows consumers to design, view and share their dream Roadsters online. It is an important piece of the company’s new retail strategy that launched in April in the Santana Row showroom, located in San Jose, California. To reinvent the car-buying experience, Tesla is capitalizing on digital interactivity to educate prospective customers about Tesla’s advanced electric powertrain technology and superior vehicle engineering.

In the U.S., Tesla’s web presence has won three “Stevie” Awards: Best Overall Web Design, Best Home Page, and Best in Automotive & Transport Equipment, from the American Business Association. More than 200 executives across the U.S. participated in the judging process to select the winners.

Tesla also has a Showroom in the centre of the city in Milan, in Via Borgogna, close to the Duomo, the Fashion District and the Theatre La Scala.
