Cerritos Infiniti Confirms, Vettel Named 2011 F1 World Champion

October 18, 2011 – Cerritos, Calif. – Cerritos Infiniti is excited to confirm, Sebastian Vettel was named the 2011 Formula One World Champion.
    
Vettel underlined his reputation as a master of Inspired Performance by winning the 2011 Formula 1 World Championship at the Japanese Grand Prix.
    
“Cerritos Infiniti congratulates Sebastian Vettel on his inspired World Championship victory,” said Bill Stephens, General Manager.
    
Going into the race needing to finish tenth or better to secure the title, the Red Bull Racing driver maintained his composure under immense amounts of pressure to finish third place.  The podium finish gave him enough points to seal the championship and at 24, makes him the youngest double World Champion in Formula One history.
    
Commenting on the race, Vettel was characteristically humble stating: “It’s phenomenal what’s happened – we set ourselves the target to win the Championship this year and so, to win it by Japan with four more races to go, is difficult to put into words.”
    
The German star and Infiniti driver has been the class leader of the 2011 season so far, winning nine races and, along with team mate Mark Webber, ensuring Infiniti and Red Bull Racing have not only wrapped up the Driver’s championship but lead the Constructor’s World Championship by 130 points.
