DENVER, COLORADO - Robert R. Larsen, A.I.A., Denver Architect has designed a unique, in-ground swimming pool and enclosure for a private residence south-east of Denver which will be the first of its kind to be installed in Colorado by craftsman-quality manufacturer LibArt North America of Defiance, Ohio.

The retractable glazed enclosure allows for year round use of the pool.  It will be 106 feet long and 25 feet wide, and will consist of eight sections – six of which will retract toward the ends creating an open-air space of 2000 square feet. The six retractable sections will move at the touch of a button for effortless operation. The aluminum framed enclosure will have light-weight clear polycarbonate glazing panels.  Sixteen-foot wide, bi-folding doors will be provided in the two gable ends of the enclosure for even more openness and ease of circulation to the surrounding patios.

This retractable pool enclosure is being fabricated as well as installed by LibArt. Its installed cost will be approximately $250,000.  Robert R. Larsen is renowned for his designs of elegant residences in the Denver metropolitan area.
