Shortly thereafter, a strong belief in Jesus’ bodily resurrection spread rapidly through Jerusalem, beginning with his closest disciples, which led up to the traditional Day of Pentecost. This event provoked the Apostles to embark on a number of missionary campaigns to spread the “Good News”, following the Great Commission handed down by Jesus.
