What Makes the Desert Thrive is That Somewhere it Hides a Well

The hot Arizona summers can be hard on everyone, but the effects seem to hit our senior population the hardest. Watermark at Home will be collecting bottled water through August 12th to benefit the Salvation Army Senior Centers in Phoenix and Mesa, AZ.

“We are a Medicare certified homecare agency that provides nursing and therapies to patients in their homes”, explained Patty Kuzia, Executive Director, Watermark at Home. “A lot of what we see is seniors needing hospitalization and emergency room visits due to dehydration. Whatever we can do as providers for seniors, that’s what we’re all about”, said Kuzia.

Watermark tapped the “well” and started the water flowing; however the flood gates have really opened as a result of the efforts of our business partners. According to Ms. Kuzia, “none of this would have been possible without our partners!” The bottled water drop-off sites exist at the following locations: La Estancia Nursing & Rehabilitation, Ahwatukee; Brighton Gardens Sunrise Senior Living, Scottsdale; Springdale West Healthcare, Mesa; Desert Blossom Health & Rehabilitation, Mesa; Mission Palms Health & Rehabilitation, Mesa; Silverado Senior Living Memory Care, Scottsdale; Thunderbird Retirement Resort, Glendale; Glencroft Care Center, Glendale; and Crismon Peaks Assisted Living, Mesa, have all joined the cause to keep seniors hydrated.

Sound Packaging of Chandler, AZ has generously donated the collection boxes.
