EMSL Provides 30 Years of Quality Asbestos Testing Results

EMSL Analytical, Inc., the world’s leading asbestos testing laboratory is celebrating its 30th year of providing quality asbestos laboratory results to asbestos and environmental professionals worldwide.

Opening in 1981 in Camden, NJ, in a small storefront building on Market Street, EMSL has now grown to over 39 locations throughout the United States and Canada. In addition to asbestos analysis, EMSL also provides environmental, indoor air quality, industrial hygiene, microbiological, materials, forensic and DNA testing services to a wide variety of clients worldwide. The firm recently moved into a 107,000 square foot facility that they have already outgrown only one year after occupying it.

The testing laboratory produces high quality results to customers through certifications from A2LA, AIHA EMLAP, AIHA IHLAP, AIHA ELLAP, NVLAP, CDC Elite, CPSC, CA ELAP, NY ELAP, TX DOH, NJDEP and multiple other state accrediting agencies. In addition to certification by various agencies, EMSL maintains additional QA/QC measures to ensure the highest quality of asbestos analysis possible.

“I was only 12 years old when EMSL opened for business. Since EMSL was located in Camden, NJ, there were many times I would worry for the safety of my father and also my mother who also helped out by typing lab reports with a typewriter and manually faxing results to clients. Back then, the newest technological improvement was the fax machine, computers were fairly new and came into significant play a few years later,” stated Joe Frasca, Senior Vice President, Marketing at EMSL Analytical, Inc. “We would like to thank our clients for supporting us through these 30 years, many of you who have also grown along with us and yes, also aged with us through these years.
