Heijmans subsidiary Burgers Ergon is providing the technical installations for the new Wibauthuis and Boerhaavegebouw buildings on the Amstelcampus.

‘s-Hertogenbosch - the Heijmans subsidiary Burgers Ergon bv Technical Services will be providing the mechanical engineering, sprinkler and electrical engineering installations for the new Wibauthuis and Boerhaavegebouw buildings on the Amstelcampus in Amsterdam under contract to the Hogeschool van Amsterdam (HvA). The contract is valued at approximately € 23 million.

The contract for the Hogeschool van Amsterdam - the University of Applied Sciences of Amsterdam - is divided into two phases. The optimization phase, during which Burgers Ergon was part of the design team, was successfully completed earlier. Burgers Ergon will now assume responsibility for the execution phase. Construction will be completed in phases. The first delivery is planned for September 2012, and the last delivery is planned for November 2014.

The new construction of the Wibauthuis and Boerhaavegebouw buildings is part of the last phase of the redevelopment of the Amstelcampus. The new development consists of the construction of two educational buildings, including auditoriums, a restaurant and kitchen, a sports hall, student residences, commercial spaces and a parking garage with a subterranean bicycle parking facility. It involves a complex implementation because it is a city centre project as a result of which the logistics on the building site is a key area of attention.
