e-HDI technology deployed on the Peugeot 3008 and 5008

WEBWIRE

The latest generation Stop & Start technology is continuing to be rolled out across the Peugeot range, enhancing driveability and cutting CO2 emissions.

After the Peugeot 508 and the new 308, now the 3008 and 5008 models benefit from e-HDi technology.
Enabling fuel savings of up to 15% in city traffic, the latest generation Stop & Start means both models can offer mid-range versions (1.6 l e-HDi FAP 112 hp engine) with even lower CO2 emissions:

- 3008 1.6 l e-HDi FAP 112 hp. BMP6: 122 g/km CO2 in mixed cycle
- 5008 1.6 l e-HDi FAP 112 hp. BMP6: 127 g/km CO2 in mixed cycle

These new offers replace the 1.6 l HDi FAP 112 hp BMP6 versions and help create new driving sensations. In fact, the car’s occupants are immediately won over by the silent operation of this system boasting high transparency on implementation and extensive availability. They feel no need to deactivate the system but on the contrary try to maximise the engine cut-out phases.

1.6 l HDi FAP 112 hp engines fitted with a manual gearbox remain available without Stop & Start, with a revised offer on the 3008 in particular:
- 3008 1.6 l HDi 112 hp BVM6: 130 g/km CO2 in mixed cycle

These new 3008 and 5008 offers will be marketed as of July 2011 and will help contribute to the continuing commercial success of both models.
Please note that July will see the launch of new e-HDi versions for the following models:
New 308: 1.6 l e-HDi 112 hp. BMP6 98 g/km CO2 - Record in the M1 saloon car segment.
508: 1.6 l e-HDi 112 hp. BMP6 109 g/km CO2 on the saloon car and SW (110 g/km CO2). - Record in the M2 saloon car segment.
