Temecula Winery Unleashes Secret Weapon


June 20, 2011 – Saturday night at Stuart Cellars was magical. 150 attended the winery’s evening event to celebrate the magic of summer and learn about the latest “best of Temecula” wines. What they didn’t expect was to be served the “BEST BBQ” of their lives.

Many of the attendees were regular Stuart Cellars members who monthly enjoy the culinary treats of Chef Michael of Even while they see Iron Chef Mike monthly, few have come to terms with how each month’s food can be better than the prior. Last night was no exception.

Chef Michael was even surprised by the crowd’s appetite for his BBQ chicken, short ribs and pulled pork. He said “I prepared 3 ounces each of BBQ chicken, short ribs and pulled pork for 170 guests for a total of 9 ounces per person.“ After the event Chef Mike said ”I can’t believe that 150 people could eat that much!”

Chef Michael and Temecula Catering will also be featured at a gourmet cooking class at Oak Mountain Winery on July 9th, an Oak Mountain Winemaker’s Dinner on July 29th, a Stuart Cellars Winery Futures Barrel Tasting on July 30th, the Danza de Sol Winery Secret Ingredient Cooking Contest on July 31st, an Oak Mountain Winery gourmet cooking class on August 12th, a Stuart Cellars Wine Club Appreciation even on August 20th and a comedy night at Stuart Cellars Winery on September 16th.

Chef Michael of has been recognized as the finest gourmet chef in Temecula with over five years of training at the exclusive Ritz Carlton Resort. Both Oak Mountain Winery and Stewart Cellars Temecula Wineries are using Mike as their caterer. was used as the chef for the VIPs at the Temecula Balloon and Wine Festival. Chef Mike has also been featured on TV with our local X Sports champions.
