27th Annual Temecula Valley Balloon & Wine Festival Set To Launch
Temecula, CA - Balloons will fill the sky (weather permitting) and Temecula Wine will fill glasses this weekend as the Temecula Valley Balloon & Wine Festival kicks off with a balloon glow Friday evening June 3. That same evening an attempt will be made to set a world record for the world’s largest glowstick design.
The Festival moved to its present location at Lake Skinner in Winchester near Temecula in 1989. Temecula Wine and Food pairings and big name entertainment have been a key element to the Festival for more than two decades now, with the Beach Boys headlining in 1991. This year’s headliners will be Dennis deYoung (from Styx), Third Eye Blind, Ambrosia and American Idol winner Lee DeWyze.
Plenty of Temecula Wine will be poured, with dozens of Temecula Wineries on hand. When the Festival launched in 1984, there were only six Temecula Wineries. There are now more than three dozen.
