Automotive Innovation Award to Connected EV

Amsterdam, June 2, 2011 – Sycada.Green, the leading provider of advanced technology for sustainable mobility solutions, was one of four finalists vying for the prestigious Automotive Innovation Award instigated by the Automotive Technology Centre in the Netherlands. Sycada.Green was nominated for its state-of-the-art telematics platform for electric vehicles branded 360EV.

The 360EV concept of Sycada.Green includes a series of smartphone tools for EV drivers, such as access to battery state-of-charge, estimated driving range, charging point locations and trip planning based on battery level, drive style and battery condition – all practical tools with the objective of reducing ‘range anxiety’ and allowing the driver to make most out of the electric car. In addition, Sycada.Green has developed a battery-monitoring module that makes the condition of the battery transparent and provides EV owners with personalized advice on how to optimize driving and charging behaviour for an extended battery life and associated residual value.

The ATC Innovation Award honors the best recent Dutch automotive innovations. The competition for the Award takes place every second year. It aims to show that the drive for innovation is deeply rooted within the Dutch automotive industry.
