*Innovative media infrastructure for manufacturers of automotive infotainment systems and OEMs
*Comprehensive software suite for connecting in-car systems to smartphones, iPhones, media players and other devices
*Rich set of connectivity protocols supporting USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G and 4G

SAN JOSE, CA, — Jungo Ltd., a leading provider of connectivity systems to silicon and device manufacturers supplying the automotive market, will showcase its industry-leading middleware for vehicular infotainment systems at the Telematics Detroit 2011 conference, on June 8 & 9 at The Suburban Collection Showplace, Novi, Michigan.

The Jungo middleware supplements in-car infotainment systems with internal and external connectivity, media, phone and Internet management functionality. It is a single sub-system for connecting any device over any protocol and for managing phone and media access within the vehicle, including media control and streaming.

OEMs use the Jungo middleware to build innovative infotainment solutions, while leveraging the same codebase across different platforms. For the manufacturers of in-car infotainment systems, the Jungo middleware is a complete media infrastructure that can be integrated speedily and cost-effectively into their products.

Devices supported by the Jungo middleware include smartphones (iPhone, Android devices and others,) tablets, media players, flash drives and more. All can be connected internally to the infotainment system or externally to the Internet over USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, DLNA, 3G, 4G or Terminal Mode. It is operating system-independent, supporting Linux, QNX, Windows CE, uItron and others.

The middleware also has a rich applications framework providing full support for media management and play-back, the synchronization of audio, video and images and the management of in-car phone activities, such as hands-free calling and a network phonebook. Also included is Internet management, allowing internet connectivity over embedded or USB 3G and LTE dongles, with security and routing capabilities.

“Jungo’s middleware solution makes it easy for in-car infotainment manufacturers to integrate a comprehensive media access, control and streaming infrastructure into their products,” said Jungo Connectivity Software General Manager Ophir Herbst. “It is functionally rich with a full working system to be demonstrated in Detroit.”
