Autodesk Software to Support Design of Innovative Prefabricated OHOMES and C-ROOMS

Malcolm Davies, Executive Vice President of Healthy Buildings Technology Group, today announced that the company has received software from Autodesk as part of their participation in the Autodesk Clean Tech Partner Program. “This industry-leading 3D design and engineering software will be used to design and build a new generation of homes and classrooms incorporating the highest standards of healthy materials and utilizing new methods of prefabrication with exceptionally green, sustainable construction” said Davies.

Healthy Buildings Technology Group is a start-up company founded by Bob Massaro and Malcolm Davies, based on over 25 years of experience building quality buildings in the US, Europe and the Middle East, with increasingly high levels of sustainability and with an emphasis on using materials and methods which lead to a healthy environment for users of the buildings. The founders have extensive experience in design automation, prefabrication, and factory automation.

“Our goal is to use the Autodesk software throughout the design/build process in order to bring the benefits of technology best practices to the construction process,” said Davies, “We aim to deliver very high-performance, sustainable buildings as “Products” instead of one-off site construction which has changed little in the past 100 years. We are very grateful to KETIV Technologies, our Autodesk Reseller for supporting us, and to Autodesk for providing this software”

Healthy Buildings Technology Group will build its first two OHOME™ prefabricated houses as showcases in Napa California, due to open in the summer of 2011. The company has acquired a parcel of land in Napa California and has started prefabrication at its facility.
