Is Website ’Flipping’ Becoming A Serious Business?

’Flipping’ is the process of building, or buying and developing websites and domain names to sell at a profit. Think property developing but without the mess. But there are other benefits too. Individuals don’t need planning permission with a website. In fact given time, a hosting account and a few basic skills, anyone could potentially build a million dollar website.

Individuals can even outsource the entire operation to home working ’techies’ in other countries to build it for them if they have no technical skills. It’s relatively cheap labour too, an investors dream. Perhaps best of all is that they’re not stuck with the locality they start out with. Unlike bricks and mortar property, virtual real estate allows individuals to move to the best part of town by just improving their rankings in the search engines. A page 1 ranking in Google for a chosen niche will usually result in a very desirable and easy site to flip.
