FAIRFIELD, NJ—February 22, 2011—The Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA) Metro Chapter will be holding an executive presentation the evening of March 29, 2011 on the important issue, “Her Place at the Table: Negotiating What Matters.” Novartis Pharmaceutical Corporation will host the event at its East Hanover, NJ, headquarters.

Research suggests that women are excellent at negotiating for others, yet they are not as good at negotiating for themselves. Author and negotiation expert Carol Frohlinger, JD, will present at this HBA Metro Chapter Evening Program and share her secrets to negotiating successfully.

Ms. Frohlinger is co-founder of Negotiating Women, Inc., an advisory firm committed to helping organizations advance women into leadership positions and helping women to negotiate more confidently and competently in all aspects of their lives. She is the coauthor of Her Place at the Table: A Woman’s Guide to Negotiating Five Key Challenges to Leadership Success. Her advice has been featured by CBS MoneyWatch, NPR, Martha Stewart Living Radio, Newsday, Cosmopolitan magazine and the New York Times, among other mainstream media.

“Lack of exceptional negotiation skills often hurts women in their careers,” stated HBA Metro Chapter President, Stephanie Bova. “The HBA Metro Chapter is committed to providing essential skill training to our membership and the ability to effectively advocate for your own career through artful negotiations is critical to future success.”

Registration is open to both members and nonmembers of the HBA, but space is limited. To register and/or for more information, please visit http://bit.ly/HBA032911.
