Nilfisk RS 501 is Best Supporting Actor in Comic Relief Sketch

Cleaning machine hire company Clean Sweep UK has tried its hand at comedy after being asked by the team at Comic Relief and the BBC to help out with a sketch for Red Nose Day starring actor Adrian Edmondson.

Edmondson, who is well known for his parts in classic television comedy shows such as The Young Ones and Bottom, was filmed taking to the streets of London and offering his opinion on the finer points in life.

The sketch features the actor reading out poetry and randomly splatting a passersby with a custard pie before Clean Sweep UK’s big moment arrives.

In the scene, the comedian professes his love for animals while cradling a couple of rabbits in his arms. The Clean Sweep UK Nilfisk RS 501 cleaning machine comes into shot as Edmondson drops the animals and the road cleaner quickly sweeps them up. Viewers will be happy to know that no animals were harmed in the making of the film as at the last minute, the bunnies were switched for cuddly toys.

Comic Relief was launched live on BBC One back in 1985 and has since raised more than £650 million for people and communities in need across the world with the help of Red Nose Day and Sport Relief.

This year’s Red Nose Day takes place on 18th March.
