DirectRooms.com – Focus Asia 2011 Conference held in Kolkata India from 2 to 6 February

It is a pleasure for DirectRooms to announce that the Focus Asia Conference will take place in Kolkata, India from the 2nd to 6th February 2011. The aim of the conference is to discuss all aspects of Asian Studies, including politics, history, philosophy, economics, sociology, religion, anthropology, literature and language. This year’s conference is dedicated to the memory of the great poet, writer and philosopher Rabindra Nath Tagore on the 150th celebration of his birthday.

There is a registration fee of INR 1,200 for delegates from India who register between the 1st December 2010 and 15th January 2011. International delegates who register during this period have to pay a registration fee of US$ 180.

The Focus Asia 2011 Conference is organised by the India Society for Heritage and Culture, the Pandit Solanki Institute for Oriental Studies and the Institute of Civilisation Studies.
