Malaysia mounts significant initiative as datacenter market growth forecast

For the first time, the leadership of the data centre sector in Malaysia will meet in one location to discuss the future opportunities and forward strategy for the country as a data centre location and outsourcing hub for international enterprises. The summit will include current availability, data centre efficiency, security, cloud services, planning, power availability and pricing, governance and costs.
 
In the first regional south east Asia summit Malaysia will showcase the benefits and opportunities it holds as an international centre for data centres. Attended by representatives of government institutions, local data centre operators, international firms engaged in the data centre sector, investors, CIOs and IT decision makers, the event with high content and networking values and is supported by an industry exhibition.
 
A new report by BroadGroup reveals that demand for data centre services and facilities is expected to remain robust in south-east Asia, but that there will be increased competition between Singapore and Malaysia in particular as critical locations.
