Signature Wicked Song Proves Most ’Popular’ Among Kristin Chenoweth Fans

As fans voted Promises, Promises leading lady Kristin Chenoweth Broadway.com’s Star of the Year, we asked you to further chime in and vote for your favorite song from the Tony winner’s impressive catalogue. The votes are in, and “Popular” from Wicked proved to be the most popular tune! The song, sung by perky witch Glinda, scored 26% of votes.

Following in second place comes “Glitter and Be Gay” from Candide with 13% of votes. Chenoweth has performed the song several times including a 2004 concert staging of the Bernstein musical with the New York Philharmonic.

Sally Brown’s declaration “My New Philosophy” from You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown came in third with 11% of the votes. The song helped to win Chenoweth a 1999 Tony Award for her performance as the spunky grade-schooler.
