KBR, Inc. Announces Filing Of Registration Statement For An Initial Public Offering Of Common Stock

April 14, 2006, HOUSTON, Texas – KBR, Inc. today announced that it has filed a registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission relating to its initial public offering of its common stock. KBR, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Halliburton Company (NYSE: HAL).

KBR, Inc. is a global engineering, construction and services company supporting the energy, petrochemicals, government services and civil infrastructure sectors. The proceeds from the initial public offering are expected to be used primarily to repay intercompany indebtedness to Halliburton.
