Imagine Optic launches HASO R-Flex

PHOTON Research Industry, Paris France, October 26, 2010 – Imagine Optic, Europe’s leading provider of high-precision wavefront metrology and adaptive-optics solutions, is proud to announce HASO R-Flex as the latest addition to its product line.

HASO R-Flex is a compact, auto-illuminated wavefront sensor that is available in a variety of configurations to meet the needs of customers that want to accurately characterize large concave mirrors, lenses on-axis or in the field, complex optical systems, beam expanders or external sources. HASO R-Flex combines a HASO Shack-Hartmann wavefront sensor (available in 32x40, 76x100 or 128x128 configurations), a collimator, a focusing objective and a laser diode. It provides a standard measurement accuracy of lambda/100 rms, lambda/200 in double-pass configurations, and benefits from HASO’s insensitivity to atmospheric turbulence or vibrations.

“We designed HASO R-Flex to be a versatile and polyvalent instrument” note Guillaume Dovillaire, Imagine Optic’s CTO. “Because different users have different needs, the f/# of HASO R-Flex can be adapted to each user’s requirements by choosing the focusing module best suited for the task at hand. As the sample f/# defines the best focusing module, we provide standard factory models from f/#=2 to f/#=30 to ensure maximum resolution, whereas custom models for special needs can equally be delivered.”

HASO R-Flex is delivered with HASOv3 wavefront analysis software. Customers can purchase additional focusing objectives for different applications as well as software add-ons including Point Spread Function (PSF) and Modulation Transfer Function (MTF) depending on their needs.
