Oct 6th 2010 (Vancouver BC) Norburn Lighting (www.norburnlighting.com) is offering a comprehensive lighting seminar Thursday Oct 21st at 6:00pm with internationally recognized Lighting Educator Phil Richards. The seminar on Future Lighting Solutions and Eco Innovations in Lighting will offer knowledge on the opportunities and challenges that solid-state lighting, new technologies and government green energy mandates present. The incandescent lamp is dead—learn what’s cool, and how to use it! Get the scoop on technical issues like efficiency, color, life and controls without all the boring tech talk. Emphasis is on LED lighting, but also includes fluorescent, compact fluorescent and lighting controls. This is your essential lighting seminar update to attend this year.

Seminar speaker Phil Richards is currently Senior Instructor for the Juno Lighting Group, where he conducts educational seminars and e-learning modules. Over 30 years of experience in the electrical / lighting industry have given Phil a hands-on approach to lighting design and implementation. Phil’s 19 years of distribution experience includes customer service, purchasing, showroom sales and management. In 1996, Phil joined the staff of Cooper Lighting’s Source, where he presented residential, commercial and industrial lighting products to the lighting specification community. In April of 2000, Phil joined the applications and training staff at Juno Lighting Group. His current training agenda also includes lighting technology, vision and color, and lighting calculations. Phil is Lighting Certified by the NCQLP, a Certified Lighting Consultant by the American Lighting Association, and on the board of managers for the Chicago Section of the IES.
