Pöyry awarded EUR 5 million engineering contract for aluminium rolling mill project in Brazil

Novelis do Brasil Ltda has awarded Pöyry a contract covering basic and detail engineering for expansion of their aluminium rolling mill in the city of Pindamonhangaba in the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil. The value of Pöyry’s assignment is over EUR 5 million and its duration will be about two years. The project has been included in Pöyry’s order stock for the second quarter of 2010.



The production of the aluminium rolling mill will be increased from 400 000 t/a to 600 000 t/a. The final investment decision announced last May is USD 300 million.
