Snappy Materials Receives U.S. Department of Commerce Export Award

(Middletown, CT) International metals distributor Snappy Materials met with Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro and other dignitaries on July 12th for a roundtable discussion, and has been chosen to receive the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Export Achievement Certificate in recognition of their export business practices.

Snappy and other Connecticut businesses including Kaman, Prospect Machine Products, and ID Mail Systems, met with DeLauro, Middletown mayor Sebastian Guiliano and officials from the U.S. Department of Commerce to discuss best practices and how their businesses have grown through export.

“Exports create good, well-paying jobs, put money in Americans’ pockets, and fuel economic growth…one out of every three manufacturing jobs, or 10.3 million jobs…that pay 15 percent more on average than other fields…The representatives and leaders I met with today have a huge impact on our Connecticut economy,” said Congresswoman DeLauro.
