Coverage of the world’s oldest knockout club soccer competition – which dates to 1871 – begins at 9 a.m. ET with the one-hour FA Cup Final Pregame on Fox Soccer Channel. Viewers will get an in-depth breakdown of the action to follow from London’s Wembley Stadium.

Following the pregame at 10 a.m. ET, the showdown at Wembley begins between the two most recent FA Cup champions. Chelsea is the reigning title-holder – defeating Everton 2-1 in 2009 – and currently finds itself atop the Barclays Premier League table thanks to a lineup of world-class talent including Frank Lampard, Michael Ballack, and Didier Drogba.

Portsmouth, which made a surprise run to the 2008 FA Cup crown, is at the opposite end of the 2009/10 Premier League table and destined for relegation. A second championship in three years would help salvage what has otherwise been a disappointing season for Pompey, which is coached by former Chelsea boss Avram Grant.

Chelsea and Portsmouth have been playing in The FA Cup for more than a hundred years, but before this season they had only been drawn together twice. Chelsea has appeared in nine previous Finals, Portsmouth in four.
