Brian Pasch Scores 2009 Mollydooker Two Left Feet 93/100 Points


Wine blogger Brian Pasch recently returned from a trip to Australia where he was granted exclusive access to the Mollydooker winery and the entire 2009 portfolio. He is sharing his reviews of the 2009 wines on, where he just rated the 2009 Two Left Feet 93/100 points.

Part of what makes Mollydooker Wines so unique is that their portfolio can vary based on the quality of fruit harvested. The vineyard fruit is scored based on its Marquis Fruit Weight™ score. For example, the Two Left Feet is only produced from vineyards that have a 65% Fruit Weight score.

Two Left Feet is a blend of Mollydooker’s favorite red varieties. The 2009 Two Left Feet is 14% Merlot, 18% Cabernet, and 68% Shiraz. The wine is part of the “Lefty Series” which is priced at $25 a bottle. Pasch calls Two Left Feet a “crowd pleaser” that “creates an easy to drink, fruit forward wine that even white wine drinkers enjoy.”

Previous vintages were rated 93 points two years in a row by Jay Miller at The Wine Advocate & 90 points by Harvey Steiman at Wine Spectator in 2006 who also named the wine ‘Wine of the Week’.
