The Russian business media house Delovoy Peterburg (part of ZAO Bonnier Business Press) has selected Tieto’s data centre services to ensure stable and secure network operations. Tieto’s services ensure high availability of Delovoy Peterburg’s (DP) primary internet portal (http://www.dp.ru).

Tieto and DP have together developed an infrastructure to ensure effective web operations and provide DP’s IT-specialists with remote control over the portal. Tieto’s responsibility includes all administrative tasks related to 24/7 monitoring as well as core operating environment support. Furthermore, Tieto’s service concept improves DP’s portal services but keeps their cost level unchanged.

Tieto’s data centre service concept “Capacity on demand” allows customer to increase or decrease the amount of computing power and data storage depending on the current needs of the resource, providing maximum flexibility and adaptation to current conditions. In addition, Tieto provides maintenance services for client applications, connectivity, security, backup and recovery services.

Mikhail Pronin, Project manager, ZAO Bonnier Business Press, says: “We were impressed by Tieto’s integrated approach and wide range of services. We were looking for a provider who could, in addition to hardware, provide us quality assurance, administration and management services for our web farm infrastructure.”

Igor Iartym, Head of Tieto office in St. Petersburg, says: “We are delighted that one of the leading publishing houses in Russia has chosen our company as IT services provider. Tieto ensures reliable operation of the PD’s internet portal and allows publishing house to avoid unnecessary data centre services related investments.”
