Munich, Mar 23, 2006, Siemens Communications and SAP have announced their collaboration in the field of Identity Management and IT Security within the framework of the Global Security Alliance. Siemens Identity Management automates the authorization process and monitoring of access rights, e.g. for the utilization of SAP solutions as well as the third-party applications provided on the SAP NetWeaver portal. In heterogeneous infrastructures, the Siemens solution integrates applications like Microsoft .NET, IBM WebSphere or the Siemens realtime communication systems – independently of a portal.

SAP and Siemens are intercoordinating their Identity Management products and are using them in-house on an alternating basis. In addition to product development and integration, the collaboration also includes the implementation of projects at customers from the industrial, government and healthcare sectors.
