BT today announced that its Global Services unit is positioned in the “Leaders” quadrant in three key Gartner Magic Quadrants: the Global Network Service Providers1, the Pan-European Network Service Providers2 and the Magic Quadrant for Communications Outsourcing and Professional Services, Worldwide.3

Jeff Kelly, CEO BT Global Services, said, "We are delighted that Gartner recognises BT as a leader in these key Quadrants. The areas covered by the reports are at the heart of our customers’ needs. We feel this recognition is based on our network management and outsourcing experience, the quality of our service and portfolio, as well as on our understanding of the dynamics needed to deliver networked IT services successfully. I’m particularly proud that BT Global Services is recognised for its vision and its ICT capabilities.”

In its Global Network Service Providers (NSP) report, Gartner defines leaders as companies that “have a full portfolio of voice and data products, coupled with above-average service and support, wide global coverage and competitive pricing. They have a strong vision that includes adopting more information and communication technology (ICT) capacity which is a strategy they articulate clearly and openly".

In its Pan-European Network Service Provider (NSP) report, Gartner says leaders “have a full portfolio of voice and data services, including relatively new offerings in areas such as unified communications and Ethernet services. These services will be delivered with good quality across a wide area of coverage at competitive prices by account teams that are typically closer to the customer. Leaders have a strong vision of the market and their role in it, and they will typically be able to address a wider range of customers (in terms of size, geography and service requirements) with their service offerings than others in this Magic Quadrant.”

In its Communications Outsourcing and Professional Services (COPS) report, Gartner states that the companies in the leaders quadrant “affect competitors by: enabling technology and IT service offerings; their focus on the enterprise and targeted industry segments; and their capability to differentiate on value, price and service levels to be first to market with relevant products. Vendors in the Leaders quadrant are performing well today, have a clear vision of market direction and are building competencies to sustain their leadership positions in the market. Vendor and customer experience weigh heavily in the Leaders quadrant. All these vendors have demonstrated that they have significant network management and outsourcing experience and understand the dynamics needed to deliver network-centric IT services successfully.”
