New Dell online community offers proven technology solutions from experienced business owners

Round Rock, Texas - Dell understands that businesses respect peer advice to help solve problems and learn new strategies for success. Based on positive feedback from the Take Your Own Path campaign, Dell created the new Business Trailblazers community, an online destination where entrepreneurs everywhere can tell their own stories. With the community, people can share current and previous business solutions and connect with other experts to get advice on how technology helps them grow their companies.

Unlike other corporate-sponsored sites, the Trailblazer content is direct from entrepreneurs – including stories from small and medium businesses about how technology solves even the most uncommon challenges. Featured on Dell.com in the U.S., the Business Trailblazers community makes it simple for people to find and connect with tested advice from fellow business owners. Also, with links to user’s LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter profiles, the community is a virtual trade show for networking.

“Business Trailblazers is more than a place where businesses can connect to find advice, but a community where tech enthusiasts can share expertise on how something like data management can increase productivity and reduce risks,” said Paul-Henri Ferrand, global vice president of Dell Consumer and Small Medium Business marketing.

With nearly 5.4 million customer interactions a day [1] and an online footprint larger than any other technology company [2], Dell is able to listen and act on direct feedback. Since 2007, the Small and Medium Business Solutions Learning Center and IdeaStorm provide people resources to improve their own businesses and give feedback on Dell’s products and services. The Learning Center now offers solutions-based content in 14 countries to help businesses make the right technology decisions based on educational information and community input. StormSessions, the latest feature on IdeaStorm, empowers people to help develop Dell community sites, products and services and easily provide feedback for future site enhancements.

“We continue to be impressed with how Dell innovates the online experience for small and medium businesses,” said Laura Leites, Managing Editor, Smallbiztechnology.com. “Business owners want to learn how to succeed from other entrepreneurs. This community makes peer-to-peer learning even more powerful and shows actual examples of how technology helps businesses run more efficiently and grow.”

The Business Trailblazers community is one more resource Dell shares with businesses to help them fully leverage technology to grow and compete.

Additionally, becoming a “Trailblazer” benefits businesses by helping them:

· Learn and build relationships with thought leaders in their industry,

· Build credibility and brand,

· And solve business challenges by rating IT solutions that work and do not work.

“This community shows that Dell is so much more than computer products, but an IT advisor focused on providing solutions that address business needs,” said Linda Rottenberg, Endeavor CEO and Take Your Own Path participant.
