College Bound Students Need DNA Tests

It is deadline time for FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) college applications and students have crossed “t”s and dotted “i”s; and are sure they will qualify for that much needed Financial Aid.  Although the economic outlook for 2012 is positive, what parent doesn’t look for additional tuition assistance for their child’s DREAM education.

There’s one lingering question, the application is asking for a U.S. Birth Certificate, Proof of U.S. Citizenship and until now,  schools have never requested such documentation.  Nearly all American primary and secondary schools do not require parents to submit U.S. Citizenship status or Green Cards as confirmation for themselves or their children. And sad to say, it is not until these very same children are applying for Financial Aid for college that the issue really comes up in their life.

What to do? Get a DNA test done.
