UK managed services provider Tectrade turns to iomart Hosting for its data security

The problems of ensuring guaranteed uptime and security from its rural headquarters has seen UK managed services provider Tectrade turn to iomart Hosting for help.

Tectrade provides multi-million pound remote managed services to customers across the public, legal, financial and motoring sectors. Until now the infrastructure to deliver the remote managed services for those customers has been provided on site at its headquarters in Godalming, Surrey.

However the company has experienced such a huge growth in the managed service side of its business – between 50-100% year on year since 2007 – that it realised it needed guaranteed resiliency and better security and so it decided to seek a specialist hosting partner.

Tectrade runs a remote managed backup/recovery service for its customers using iomart Hosting’s London data centre as the primary site with its own premises in Godalming acting as a failover.

Tectrade plans to utilise iomart Hosting’s Glasgow data centre facility in the near future if the business continues to grow at its current level.
