Award Shows Impact to Employee Focus Area of Corporate Responsibility Program

FALLS CHURCH, Va., CSC (NYSE: CSC) today announced that it has won the National Eagle Leadership Institute’s (NELI) Award for Diversity and Inclusion. CSC’s winning entry represents its commitment to develop a sustainable culture for its employees, brand, and clients. The company was also recognized for Project Accelerate, CSC’s strategic growth plan that provides professional growth opportunities globally.

The NELI Award recognizes companies for their significant role in corporate leadership and responsibility, in both business and in the world around them. Winners were chosen based on three categories: recognition, recruitment, and retention responsibility; diversity and inclusion responsibility; and community service responsibility.

“Receiving this award is an affirmation of CSC’s solid commitment to cultivate leadership and foster diversity in the workplace,” said Susan Pullin, vice president, corporate responsibility and analyst relations. “We are honored to receive this distinction and will continue to foster an environment where diversity, inclusion and employee recognition initiatives are a top priority.”

The NELI Awards were presented at the 17th annual CareerFOCUS Eagle Awards Gala on Thursday, November 19, 2009, at the Fairmont Chicago at Millennium Park. Randy Phillips, CSC vice president and chief development officer for corporate development, accepted the award on behalf of CSC. Phillips is a member of CSC’s Corporate Responsibility Board and Greenway Board.

According to Melinda Evans, chief global diversity officer at CSC, this award showcases the great strides that CSC has made to create a diverse and inclusive workforce. This achievement emphasizes CSC’s commitment to making diversity an integral part of the business strategy and ensuring long-term success of the corporate responsibility program.
