Canon U.S.A. Receives Industry Recognition Six Years Running for Outstanding Service and Reliability

Among its achievements, Canon U.S.A. garnered PCMag.com’s 2009 Readers’ Choice Award for Service and Reliability. For the sixth consecutive year, this prestigious award is the result of Canon’s commitment to customer service and support excellence that is delivered by a dedicated, 100 percent U.S.-based Canon customer service staff.

In addition to the industry awards the Company has received, many of its products have also been receiving awards all year long including several Editors’ Choice Awards from CNET, American Photo, PCMag.com, LAPTOP, DigitalCameraReview.com, Digital Trends.com, PrinterComparison.com and Computer Shopper Magazine*.

Canon’s PIXMA and SELPHY printer models have received several awards from media outlets such as LAPTOP Magazine’s Ultimate Choice Award for the PIXMA MX860, BERTL’s Best All-in-One Personal Photo Lab Award for the PIXMA MP980, and the Shopper’s Choice Award – Best Inkjet Printer from Computer Shopper Magazine for the PIXMA iP2600.

Canon’s VIXIA High Definition camcorders have garnered a lot of success in 2009 among consumers and media outlets looking for stunning high-definition video. Three out of “The Best Five Camcorders” chosen by CNET were Canon models; the list included the VIXIA HV30, VIXIA HF200 and Canon XH A1 camcorders. The Canon VIXIA HF S11 was named the “Best Memory Card Camera” by Videomaker Magazine.

Earlier in the year, several Canon products received Hot One Awards from Professional Photographer Magazine including the EOS 5D Mark II Digital SLR camera, EOS Rebel XSi Digital SLR Camera, the SELPHY CP770 photo printer, and the CanoScan 5600F scanner. The Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM lens, Canon PowerShot S90, Canon EOS Rebel T1i Digital SLR, and EOS 7D Digital SLR cameras all received a 2009 POP Award from Popular Photography Magazine. Also, Canon has received “Outstanding” accolades from Buyers Lab, Inc. (BLI), a leading independent office equipment test lab, for its imageRUNNER, imageCLASS, imagePROGRAF and imageFORMULA product lines.
