Vendor Fair With Musical Flair

Anoka, MN, (WebWire) FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Minnesota Moms in Business hosts a Vendor Fair and Gift Sale to raise donations for the Emergency Foodshelf Network. The event takes place at the Schwan Event Center located on the National Sports Center Campus, 1700 105th Avenue NE in Blaine, MN on Saturday November 14, 2009 from 10am to 4pm. Admission is free to the public.

This event will offer a variety of products including jewelry, spa, gourmet food, aromatherapy, wellness, home décor and handcrafted items.

In addition to presenting local women owned businesses, the event features a food drive benefiting the Emergency Food Shelf Network. A raffle drawing will be held for those donating non-perishable food items or making cash donations to the Emergency Foodshelf Network. The goal of this event, titled “Food for the Holidays” is to ensure no one goes hungry during the holiday season.

Hourly holiday caroling featured at the event will be provided by “Minnesota Moms in Music” and independent recording artists Jessica Lynn and Maureen Santiago. Both mom’s are active in the local music and entertainment scene and are set to release new, original 3-song EPs.

Jessica, performing artist and mother of two, has been singing since she was a little girl. She can often be seen performing with various theater groups across the metro. Jessica is a classically trained vocalist and specializes in classical, contemporary, and alternative music. She toured Sweden twice with a local Minneapolis choir and has just recently finished recording three original songs for her new demo CD.

Maureen, versatile vocalist and mom of one, began her career in the Malaysian TV and Music scene so she is equally comfortable on stage, in a studio or in front of a camera. Maureen specializes in Smooth Jazz, R&B/Soul and Adult Contemporary popular music. Highlights of Maureen’s career included tours with the Malaysian Orchestra, an album with a top five hit, numerous TV appearances and performances for distinguished audiences including the King and Prime Minister of Malaysia on three separate occasions.
