Over the last several weeks regional and national media outlets have reported on a woman’s battle with a perplexing illness. On September 29th area residents gathered at the American Legion Post to help raise funds for the woman. Fortunately she now knows what has been making her sick after years of searching for the cause of her illness. A doctor in Texas diagnosed her with an adverse reaction to toxic molds. Tests of her townhouse found it to be contaminated with mold that has weakened her immune system to the point that she is now allergic to many common household fragrances and chemicals.
